Javelin has recently
finished the design, supply and installation of a complete
irrigation system for use at the newly built stadium and grounds
of Bishop Auckland Football Club.

Working in conjunction
with the contractor,
John Hellens (Contractors)
Ltd, the system was designed to provide water to
irrigate the newly constructed football pitch.
A large capacity
water
storage tank was connected to a
Rovatti MEKVS series
2.2kW single-phase stainless steel pump.
The pump was mounted in a power-coated sheet steel
enclosure together with a
Domino Control Panel.

The pump delivery
assembly connected into an underground
MDPE pipe system situated
around the outside of the football pitch and behind one of the
goal lines. From
this pipe there are several hydrant points where the connection
hose of the irrigator can be coupled onto when irrigation is
required.
The irrigator supplied
was an
RM Speedy Rain 405
turbine machine with 130 metres of 40mm diameter PET hose.
This should adequately cover the pitch in several runs,
thus providing an excellent playing surface for the football
club at their new home.
