Air Release Valves

Unirain Air Release Valves are designed to extract trapped air in pipes, filters, tanks or any other similar equipment which must work without the presence of air.

Unirain ARV-1"K

The valve performs two functions:

1. Exhausts trapped air in pipes as they fill.  When water reaches the inside of the valve, the float rises and closes the outlet.
2. Prevents pipe collapse.  
   If depressurization happens the float drops, opening the outlet and allowing air to enter the pipes, destroying the vacuum and returning atmospheric pressure to the inside of the pipe.

Features

• Valve is totally sealed even at very low pressure
• Simple in design with only five parts, it is easy to disassemble when cleaning is required.
• Elbow outlet with integral internal filter prevents foreign objects entering the valve.

Technical Specification

• At least 501 m3/hr of air is released when fully open
• Released air volume is at least 0.026 m3/hr at 5 psi
• Totally sealed from 3 psi
• Working pressure of at least 225 psi

Unirain ARV-2"KA

This valve performs three functions:

1. Exhausts trapped air in pipes as they fill.  When water reaches the inside of the valve, the float rises and shuts the outlet.
2. Exerts continuous automatic venting control eliminating any residual pockets of air that might reach the valve
3. Prevents pipe collapse.  
   If depressurization happens the float drops, opening the outlet and allowing air to enter the pipes, destroying the vacuum and returning atmospheric pressure to the inside of the pipe.

Features

• Unique double seal system, one for kinetic performance the other for automatic control.  The low density float makes the valve completely watertight as the pipe is being pressurised or emptied, no matter how slowly these operations are carried out.
• Elbow outlet with integral internal filter prevents foreign objects entering the valve.
