Javelin System Monitor (JSM)

Designed for use with tractor or diesel engine units to both protect and control when used with irrigation systems.

JSM units are designed to automatically shut-down tractors (or diesel units) in the event of

JSM Panel

· Loss of engine oil pressure
· Engine overheating
· Water pressure in pipeline becomes too high or drops too low
· Flow of water at the pump stopping when irrigation machine has
· Completed its 'run' or pump losing prime
· Operation of time clock

Principal of Operation
Should any of these occur a solenoid valve situated in the fuel line will be activated cutting off the fuel supply.
The unit can be fitted extremely quickly and simply and comes in two main parts:
(1) a small terminal box (Temperature Interface Unit) fitted in the tractor cab and
(2) main control panel (JSM Kit) usually fitted at the pump
Connection between the two is simply by means of a cable with plug

How it Works

1. Main Control Panel - Javelin System Monitor (JSM) When used with tractor-driven pumps the main control panel is usually sited on the pump suction extension where it can be easily viewed by the user. Warning lights are fitted to indicate which function has operated the tractor shut-off enabling the user to diagnose any fault that has occurred immediately.	Image Above
2. Temperature Interface Unit (TIU) Normally fitted in the tractor cab, the TIU is wired to the engine oil pressure switch and water/air temperature switch. A solenoid valve, fitted in t he fuel line, will then automatically shut-down the pump engine should any faults occur, or pump operation, preventing costly damage.
3. Hi-Lo Pressure Switchgauge (OPLFC) Mounted under the JSM control panel, this heavy duty pressure gauge and switch can be easily viewed by the user from the tractor seat. The switch senses excessively high or low water pressure and has a gauge dampener to reduce the possibility of damage to the gauge from pressure surges or water hammer.
4. No-Flow Switch This is operated by a loss of flow at the pump caused by either loss of pump prime or when the irrigation machine has completed its run. The unit is mounted in the suction pipe and can be adjusted to suit individual flows and pipe diameters.
5. Suction Extension These are available to suit existing tractor pump units and are fitted with mounting brackets to take the JSM panel, hi-lo pressure switchgauge and priming pump and with no-flow switch tappings. A support jack is included to provide additional stability.

Note: Certain tractors cannot be fitted with a solenoid valve and therefore require a rack-puller to shut-off the fuel supply.

Supplied in a cowled box with ready fitted connection wires, Green base with Grey lid and white lettering, Function as per description above.

JSM 990A Kit/Solenoid (EP601000)
Engine monitoring kit including 8-channel JSM (pictured at top of page). Temperature Interface Unit (TIU), 2-Pin Temperature Probe, Solenoid Valve, No-Flow Switch, Hi-Lo Pressure Switchgauge, Gauge Dampener, Excludes pump suction extension.

JSM 990A Kit/Rack Puller (EP601100)
Engine monitoring kit as above but with rack puller in lieu of solenoid valve for engines with rotary type fuel pumps.

Javelin System Monitor (JSM) - For Fixed Installations (Electric Motor)

The same unit is used as above but the Green base is supplied without the cowl and no wiring is provided. The box is plain to enable the installer to cut out holes convenient for the installation. The unit is used to monitor electrical and hydraulic conditions and switch out the drive contactor when conditions are exceeded.

Electric motor monitoring kit including 8-channel JSM, Power Drive Unit (PDU) (with transformer and relays to suit 240V AC control circuits), No-Flow Switch, Hi-Lo Pressure Switchgauge, Gauge Dampener, Wall Mounting Bracket for Switchgauge, (not including steelwork or electrical wiring).

JSM Kit/415V (EP601300)
Electric motor monitoring kit as above but with PDU with transformer and relays to suit 415V AC control circuits.
