(resistive) with electronic
overload cut-out.
- Two pump start outputs
- Remote start input, remote stop
input and flow meter input
- One socket for connecting a
range of interface boards to integrate the controller with
sensors, additional switched inputs and Heron's dose
controller. One serial connection to attach a PC
- Operate 24 Volt AC or DC valves.
- MCI-96 will operate up to 96
valves with the addition of an Output Box and Expansion Cards.

Operation
Specifications
- Controllers available in 4, 8,
12, 16 and 96 zones
- The MC196 operates 16 valves as
standard but can be expanded to 96 valves with additional output
cards
- Menu driven with a four line
alphanumeric display.
- Valves can be individually
named. Valves can be placed in any order within an
irrigation program.
- 15 Irrigation programs and 60
automatic starts.
- Automatic starts can be set on
either a daily or weekly basis and any automatic start can start
any program.
- Up to 4 valves can run in
parallel within a program or up to 4 irrigation programs can run
in parallel.
- Valve times can be set in
minutes and seconds or hours and minutes.
- The control of each program can
be individually specified. For example, a program can be
configured to ignore the manual percentage adjust facility.
- Rainfall can be monitored and
automatically reduce watering by a given percentage.
- Back flush facility for filters.
- Continual cycling of up to 8
programs. Cycling can be controlled by a combination of
time and/or light energy. The cycling program can be
assigned as having priority over other irrigation programs.
- Fertigation option to support
the dosing of feed.
- With the addition of a flow
meter, the controller can check that the water flow rate is
within a specified range for each valve and log the volume of
water used.
- Operate as either a standalone irrigation
controller or run from a PC using Heron's "Ground
Control" software.
- With the addition of the Heron
Mobile Module controllers can be operated remotely via a mobile
phone and text messages can be sent on alarm conditions.
